The Rams will try to rejuvenate their program after finishing at 3-6 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference (3-8 overall) a year ago.

Brubaker, who served as the offensive coordinator at explosive West Lawn for the past four years, will try to pump some new life into the Spring-Ford attack.

The quarterback will be either junior Ryan Conway (5-9, 170) or sophomore Hank Coyne (6-0, 150). The tailback will be senior Chase Stewart (5-7, 145) with senior James Hoff (5-8, 185) shifting from quarterback to fullback in an offense that will run a multiple set.

Coyne is the son of Hank Coyne Sr., the offensive line coach at Owen J. Roberts who is also a teacher at

Phoenixville as well as the middle school wrestling

Up front at right tackle will be senior Billy Miller (6-0, 205) with senior Chris Mayer (5-8, 205) at right guard. The left guard will be junior Brian Tatum (6-0, 215) and the left tackle will be senior Jared Novia (6-0, 255).

The tight end will be either junior Tyler Yazujian (5-11, 205) or senior Ryan Sellman (6-0, 160). Juniors Andrew Scanlan (6-2, 190) and Darryl Branch (6-2, 180) head a cast of eight players who will be utilized as wide receivers.

In the secondary will be senior Damien Boham (5-9, 140) at one cornerback andd either senior Andrew Keys (5-8, 150) or junior Dan Lawrence (5-8, 160) at the other corner. The safeties will be senior Matt Glowacki (5-8, 155), senior Drew Thomas (6-0, 180) and Conway.

Scanlan received honorable mention status on offense as an athlete last fall.

Hoff earned honorable mention recognition on the defensive side of the football at outside linebacker.

The placekickers will be seniors Matt McGrory (5-10, 170) and soccer player Pieter O'Shannessy (5-8, 155). The punter has yet to be determined.

"I am going to try to see the seniors get the first shot," said Brubaker. "That is the way I have always done it in the past, and we have a strong senior class. A number of them are really trying."

Brubaker is planning to limit two-way players as much as possible so that players are more rested in order to close out games during the fourth quarter.

"We would like to limit kids to under 80 plays," said Brubaker. "A full game has 160 plays with special teams so we are going to try to keep them playing just half the time. But if you have injuries or other things, that could change."

Spring-Ford opens its non-league schedule on Friday night, Sept. 3, at West Chester East High School at 7 p.m.. The Rams then travel to Delaware to meet Sussex Tech in another non-league contest on Friday night, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m.

Spring-Ford will kick off its PAC-10 slate on Friday night, Sept. 17, at home against Owen J. Roberts at Coach McNelly Stadium at 7 p.m.
