EAST PIKELAND
Simple Assault
On Monday September 7, 2009 on or about 8: 30 A.M. East Pikeland Police received a call about an assault that had occurred on September 6, 2009 in the 400 block of Merlin Road. The victim described that her husband had struck her and pushed her causing her to injure her ankle and wrists and damaged a phone when she tried to call the police.
Robert Carlson, 40, of Phoenixville was arrested and charged with Terrorist Threats, Simple Assault and Harassment.
Carlson was arraigned before Judge Knapp; bail was set at $5000.00 cash. He was sent to Chester County Prison for failure to post bail.
D.U.I Arrest
On Saturday September 19, 2009 on or about 8:40 P.M. East Pikeland Police stopped defendant, Robert E. Sutton, 59 or Phoenixville, for speeding on Mowere Road.
He was processed and released pending a hearing at a later time
D.U.I ARREST
On Sunday September 27, 2009 at about 3:20 A.M. while on patrol East Pikeland Police observed Kristen Rowe, 30 years of age, of 1906 Eland Downe Phoenixville, Pa. 19460
in the Maple Lawn Shopping Center acting suspiciously. Police stopped her to investigate and discovered that she was D.U.I. She was processed and released pending a hearing at a later date and time.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP
Theft
On Sept. 15 at 8:47 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. swedesford Rd, Berwyn, for report of a theft discovered from the PECO facility in Berwyn. A reel of 1000 feet of rubber coated copper wire was removed fromt eh yard of the facility. The reel weighs 240 lbs. and is valued at $890.
Theft
On Sept. 16 at 2:48 p.m., police were dispatched to the first block of Maple Ave in Paoli. An orange Scag lawn mower and rolls of aluminum were stolen from fenced in area next to a residence.
Burglary
On Sept. 17 at 2:20 p.m. Police responded to a report of burglary discovered to an unoccupied business in the Paoli Shopping Center. Sometime between 9 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16, unknown actor(s) entered a vacant Robinsons's Luggage store which is next to a T-Mobile store in the shopping center. Once inside the building, it appears the actor(s) attempted to enter the T-Mobile business via entry thru the vacant store, impeded by the concrete wall between them.
Fraud
On Sept. 18 at 2:50 p.m. police reported to the 100 block of Daylesford Blvd in Paoli. The victim had computers delivered to his home. The items were purchased via Internet in the victim's name by an unknown actor.
Possession of Controlled Substance
On Sept. 18 at 5:47 p.m. police responded to the Berwyn Train Station for a report of a possible overdose victim. A male juvenile from Wayne was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest, Possession of a controlled substance and related charges. The juvenile was lying on his back on the edge of the platform next to the tracks. A bystander advised that juvenile had been walking on the train tracks and was pulled onto the platform for his safety by a number of individuals who were waiting for a train prior to the police arrival. The juvenile, resisting arrest and attempting to return to the train tracks, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernailia.
Criminal Mischief to a Vehicle
On Sept. 19 at 9:47 p.m., police responded to a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle on the 3rd block of Elan Lane, Wayne. Unknown actor(s) broke the window of the vehicle.
Criminal Mischief to a Vehicle
On Sept. 20 at 9:05 a.m. police were dispatched to the 700 block of North Wayne Ave, Wayne, for report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. Sometime overnight unknown actor(s) threw a can of blue paint, covering the entire side of the vehicle with paint and causing damage to the door of the auto.
Burglary
On sept. 21 at 1:17 a.m. police were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Swedesford Rd, Berwyn, to an activated alarm for the McDonald's Restaurant where they discovered the door smashed.
Fraud
On Sept.21 at 9:01 p.m. the victim called the police to notify of receiving a call informing her she won a $500,000 prize. Victim was told that in order to claim her prize, a Western Union money gram would need to be sent to an address in Florida.
THEFT
On Sept. 22 at 12:47 p.m., police received a report of theft of a Gateway laptop computer from the 700 block of Lee Road in Wayne. It is currently under investigation.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD
On Sept. 22 at 6:06 p.m. police received report of the victim's credit card being used for approximately $5,000 in unauthorized purchases. It is currently under investigation.
HARASSMENT BY PHONE
On Sept. 22 at 10:17 p.m. police responded to a report of harassing messages on the victim's cell phone. It is currently under investigation.
THEFT
On Sept. 24 at 11:02 a.m. police received report of a theft of a cell phone at school from the 100 block of Walker Rd in Wayne.
HARASSMENT BY PHONE
On Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. police received report of threatening voice and text messages received by the victim via cell phone. It is currently under investigation.
THEFT
On Sept. 28 at 11:16 a.m. police received report of a silver Blackberry Curve cell phone stolen from an employee in Valley Fair Shopping Center.
HARASSMENT BY PHONE
On Sept. 28 at 1:08 p.m. police received report of harassing/threatening phone calls. It is currently under investigation.
CALN
DUI
State Police at Embreeville are investigating a DUI that occurred on Sept. 6 at 6:43 p.m. After Gabriel Gooslin's vehicle was stopped, standardized field sobriety test were performed and it was determined that the accused was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance.
DUI
The State Police at Embreeville are investigating a DUI that occurred on Sept. 5 at 4:52 p.m. After Anthony Epps's vehicle was stopped, standardized field sobriety test were performed and it was determined that the accused was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance.
HIT AND RUN
The State Police is investigating the following hit and run crash that occurred on Sept. 25 in the Turkey Hill parking lot located on Rt. 340, Caln Township. The crash occurred when the Brian Smith of East Norriton pulled into a parking stall in front of the store next to unknown vehicle operator #1. At this time, operator #1 was pulling out of the parking stall next to Smith, striking the left passenger side wheel well causing minor damage. Operator #1 then traveled eastbound on Rt. 30 and North onto Rt. 202, where the operator then parked the vehicle and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The vehicle is described as a silver Honda Civic bearing NJ registration PKV98L with minor right driver side front end damage to the bumper. CRASH
The crash occurred as Melissa Welsh was attempting to merge from the Reeceville Rd. Off-Ramp onto SR 30 Bypass Eastbound, Caln Township while behind a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse. The Eclipse came to a complete stop while facing a properly posted yield sign. Welsh attempted to go around the Eclipse when it began to slowly pull out and merge onto SR 30. Welsh slammed on the breaks while in the right hand lane in order to avoid a collision with the Eclipse. While this action was occurring, Theresa Wausnock was traveling in the east bound lane on SR 30 and was approaching the Reeceville Rd. Exit. Wausnock struck the rear-end of Welsh while at a complete stop on SR 30. Welsh was cited and charges were filed in District Court
CRASH
The crash occurred when pedestrian, David Smith, was traveling westbound on Waterworks Rd. at Red Mill Rd. in West Caln Township. Unit 1, an unidentified vehicle, was travelling westbound at the same location. Unit 1 was passing Smith when the passenger side mirror struck Smith's left elbow. Unit 1 continued to travel westbound without stopping as Smith and his dog fell to the ground.
SOUTH COVENTRY
HARRASSMENT
On Sept. 23 at 8 a.m., Pa State Police investigated a harassment call at Owen J. Roberts High School in South Coventry Township. The accused arrived at the location and proceeded to touch the victim inappropriately while in a school classroom while class was in session. The accused was subsequently charged with the appropriate section of the Pa Crimes Code following the incident.
RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING ANOTHER PERSON
State Police investigated the reck
less endangerment of another person on Sept. 11 at 8:43 p.m. at Owen J. Roberts High School for the report of an individual on school grounds observed by school security officials to be in control of his motor vehicle while in an intoxicated state. While the school security guard was attempting to detain the accused the same endangered the safety of the security guard by driving through the high school parking lot with the guard hanging onto his vehicle. The accused was charged for driving under the influence of alcohol in addition to recklessly endangering another person.
CHARLESTOWN
CRASH
The crash occurred as Walter Gillmer was traveling westbound on SR 401 at the intersection with Valley Hill Rd. While traveling westbound on SR 401, Gillmer began to slow down in observation of the steady red indicator at the traffic signal. He took his eyes off the roadway and began observing a woman hanging balloons on a mailbox. At this time, Warren Wilson was already stopped at the intersection facing the steady red indicator signal. Gillmer rear-ended Wilson at the intersection. Both units sustained minor damage and both were drivable.
TRAPPE
SEXUAL ASSAULT
The incident occurred between 7/1/09 and 9/1/09 at the victim's residence in Trappe. The actor, Dan Rohloff of Royersford, would arrive at the victim's house and have sexual intercourse with the victim. The actor was aware the victim was 14 year olds. Charges have been filed in District Court against the actor for Statutory Sexual Assault and other related sexual offenses.
POTTSTOWN
LIQUOR LAW VIOLATION
Manatawny Association located at 20 King Street in Pottstown was charged with PA Liquor Code, Section 471 and Crimes Code for possession or operation of gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitting gambling or lotteries, poolselling and/or bookmaking. Also charged with PA Liquor Code, Section 471 and Clean Indoor Air Act violating the Clean Indoor Air Act by failing to take and record a vote under the by-laws to address smoking in the club's facilities. Also charged with PA Liquor Code, Section 471 and Clean Indoor Air Act, failing to post signage as required by the Clean Indoor Air Act. These charges will be brought before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the ALJ can impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.

ASSAULT
The State Police are investigating an assault that occurred on Sept. 15 between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at a Maple Ave residence in Perkiomen Township.
